Captain Gin and the golden gumdrop is a fairytale book created from a storyline that stems off of the original gingerbread man character. Only in this alternate universe, he’s a drunken cookie pirate in search of the all-powerful Golden Gumdrop.

Solving The Problem- There’s was a void in the youth book industry for drunken cookie pirates, go figure. Making a funny concept with illustrations to support the story line, brings this book to life, and all of its cookie drama.

Closing Thoughts- Each piece of this book was illustrated to represent a piece of Captain Gin’s universe. It allows the viewer to visualize the world they’re traversing during the epic story. Using Photoshop and Illustrator allowed the design to be completely texturized and illustrated for the perfect fairytale aesthetic. Hang on to your gumdrops, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
